About

We started from a competition that ran badly

A form, a WhatsApp group, a spreadsheet, and votes nobody could defend. We built what was missing, then we understood everybody was missing it.

Our mission

Bring talent together, offer them opportunities, and make running competitions simple, profitable and memorable.

Where we are going

That on the day somebody, anywhere, wants to run a talent competition or discover emerging talent, Noowow is the reflex. And that a Noowow record becomes a reference somebody can verify.

What we believe

Four convictions, and they show in the product

They are not a values page: each is written as a commitment anybody can verify from the outside.

A record cannot be bought

It is the one promise we will never negotiate. Everything else in the product follows from it: no coefficient for sale, no ranking to reopen, no sponsor on the record.

Trust is not a premium option

Protection of minors, fraud resistance and vote integrity are identical on the free tier and on the custom contract. Selling them would be saying they can be done without.

A mechanical rule beats a written one

A documented policy eventually rots. A rule that refuses at compile time, or that breaks the build, holds on its own. We would rather build the guarantees than promise them.

We celebrate the talent, not the platform

Our product should disappear behind what it serves. An organiser should not have to think about us, and an entrant should remember their competition, not our interface.

The long text, versioned, is an open standard.Read the charter

Two markets, from day one

Quebec and Haiti. Two payment realities, two seasonalities, and a product that must serve both without compromise.

A team that writes before it codes

Every design decision is written, dated and contestable. That document exists before the line of code, and it outlives it.

A product, not a demo

Our first competition was running in production before we wrote a single sales page.

The story

A founder, and a method

Noowow was not born in a large studio. It was born of a conviction and a way of working.

  1. The conviction

Talent competitions are still run with a form, a spreadsheet, a chat group and a social media account. Four tools that do not talk to each other, and zero reliable votes.

The founder first built and operated an earlier platform, in production, which serves as this one's reference: every lesson paid for there is a rule here.

  2. The method

It deserves telling because it is part of the evidence: most of this product was designed and built by a very small team, working in pairs with artificial intelligence. Not AI as a gimmick: AI as a tooled collaborator, under a constant rule.

That method produced the application framework Noowow runs on, then Noowow itself: the architecture, the decisions noted one by one, the tests that hold every promise, and the mockups of every screen before every line of code.

The machine proposes, the person decides.
Eighth commitment of our charter

What it demonstrates, said precisely: well held, with bounded permissions, real human review and tested commitments, AI multiplies what one person can build, in the service of users rather than at the expense of their attention.

The loop

The same tool, on both sides

The one that let a lone founder build the platform is the one that, inside the platform, helps a lone organiser put together their first competition.

  • The assistant proposes the structure, you apply it
  • It answers inside the product, citing the manual
  • It never decides in your place
